Cooking Chicken - overview
It is the most common notion among all that cooking is not only an art but also a very tedious job to do. Someone not only has to have the patience to do it but also an equal amount of determination and courage for the same. This is to help you know how to cook chicken and what all to keep in mind. When buying chicken prefer buying fresh chicken rather than the frozen one. This is not because the frozen one is unhealthy but because it has a large amount of water content which would not make it that tasty after being cooked.
Depending on the feed of the bird and the are of where you stay, the fresh chicken may be slightly yellow or white. In case you still opt for frozen chicken look out for brown spots which indicate something that is called as freezer burn. Also it should be kept in mind, however easier and faster it might be to defrost the chicken in the microwave it is advisable to do it still in the refrigerator. Now comes the part that involves less of cooking but would still give you the feeling that you have cooked.
To roast a chicken first all the flabs should be removed from the chicken and then all spices should be added to chicken cavity. Then butter is added to the breast meat along with more spices. The roasting pan should not be of the exact size as of the chicken, should be slightly larger than that. To add more flavor to it wine could be added. Put the whole thing in the oven for roasting. To see whether or not the chicken is roasted, all we need to do is prick it with a fork. If the wine flows out its roasted and ready to be served as a scrumptious meal on a Sunday afternoon.
